Jon Neale is Growth Director for the UK and Ireland at Kahoot!, where he works with schools, colleges, multi-academy trusts and workplaces to get more out of Kahoot! than the quiz it is best known for. He spends most of his time with teachers and L&D teams, and speaks regularly on engagement, formative assessment and staff development at education events across the UK and Ireland.

More than a quiz: Kahoot! for engagement, evidence and CPD

Most of us first met Kahoot! as a bit of fun at the end of a lesson. This session is about everything it has become since.

In an hour, with everyone in the room playing rather than watching, we will look at how Kahoot! is being used across schools, colleges and workplaces for live teaching, formative and summative assessment, staff CPD and onboarding, and internal communication.

We will cover the new device-free modes, which let a whole room take part using physical cards, hand signals or whiteboards while the answers still land in your reports; the AI tools that turn an existing document, slide deck or staff handbook into a ready-to-run session in a couple of minutes; the reporting behind it, which gives question by question and person by person data you can export as evidence; and our new content partnerships, including Oak National Academy and BBC Bitesize.

You will leave having participated, having built something of your own, and with a clear view of what Kahoot! can do beyond the quiz.

 If you'd like to use the session to co-create, a laptop would be best placed than a mobile device.

If participants can set up p a free Kahoot! account before the day that would be great, however, not essential.
