Beyond the Textbook: A Student's Guide to Practising Law

Ever wondered what it's actually like to train and practise as a lawyer? This practical, student-focused session gives an inside look at the legal profession from someone in the middle of it. Aurore will walk through the different routes to qualification, including dual qualification alongside the SQE, and explain how they work in practice. She'll also cover the range of work a trainee can expect, from private client to corporate and property law, so you get a realistic picture of what day-to-day legal work involves.

Aurore will draw on her own path, from her involvement with ELSA to her current training contract, and give honest, first-hand advice on getting into law and building a career. Whether you're set on becoming a lawyer or just exploring your options, this is a chance to hear what the journey is really like. There'll be plenty of time for questions, so come ready to ask whatever you want to know.
